Treatment
Braces & Clear Aligners in Dimapur
Braces can fix
- Crooked or crowded teeth
- Gaps between teeth
- Teeth that stick out
- Bite problems (overbite, underbite, crossbite)
- Difficulty cleaning overlapping teeth
- Smile confidence — at any age
What happens, step by step
- Orthodontic consultation
Dr. Tisso examines your bite, takes records, and explains realistically what result to expect and how long it will take.
- Choose your type
Metal (strongest value), ceramic (less visible) or clear aligners (nearly invisible, removable) — honest pros and cons of each.
- Fitting
Brackets are bonded or your first aligner set is delivered. Adjustment visits follow every few weeks.
- Retention
After the smile is straight, retainers keep it that way. Skipping this step is how teeth drift back — we won't let that happen.
Aftercare
- Some pressure for 2–3 days after each adjustment is normal
- Avoid very sticky and very hard foods with braces
- Clean around brackets carefully — we teach you the technique
- Wear aligners 20–22 hours a day for on-schedule results
Common questions
How long will I need braces?
Most cases take 12–24 months. Minor corrections can be faster; complex bites take longer. You'll get a realistic timeline at the first consultation — not a sales pitch.
Am I too old for braces?
No. Teeth move at any age — a large share of our orthodontic patients are working adults. Aligners make treatment nearly invisible if that's a concern.
Do braces hurt?
Fitting doesn't hurt. Expect a dull pressure for a few days after each adjustment — patients describe it as 'annoying, not painful'. Soft food and it passes.
Can I see how teeth straighten?
Yes — drag the before/after slider in our 3D Smile Studio to watch a crooked arch align in real time.
